12 March 2016 - 'In Nomine' for shamisen and piano première
08/01/16 08:51
In Nomine, a newly-commissioned piece for shamisen and piano, will be performed by Kevin Willoughby and Azusa Morinishi in Takamatsu, Japan.
This is my first piece for shamisen. The piece is a series of variations on the John Taverner’s pre-1530 setting of the ‘in nomine’ plainchant. In the English Renaissance, as well as more recently, it has been a very popular melody for variations. More information can be found here.
When: 12 March 2016 at 14:00
Venue: Takamatsu Kokubunji Hall
Address: 430 Kokubunji Shinmyo, Takamatsu, Kagawa, Japan
Tickets: ¥1000 (see details below or contact me directly to reserve tickets)
